Michael Cunanan is the executive director of Explore and Connect USA, LLC. Mike currently holds the position of dean of school at a charter school in New Mexico where he also instructs math and science courses. Prior to working as the special education team leader at an elementary school in Zuni, NM, he was the special education teacher/cadre leader of a community school on the Navajo reservation in Alamo, NM. He was also a public school teacher in Dundalk, MD. Mike taught at the University of Santo Tomas for 10 years after he obtained his bachelor's degree from the university. He earned his master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Western Australia. He also completed the program requirements for Master's of Arts in Special Education and Doctor of Philosophy in Education in the Philippines.
